Situated at the source of the River Aube, between Auberive and Aujeurres, the Charbonnier hut is loosely based on the dwellings of the charcoal burners, whose banging of their hammers gave rhythm to the calm of the Auberive forest over the centuries. Built in 2007 as part of a Franco-Romanian youth project, it enhances the appeal of an already magical site, and will soon be the starting point for a discovery trail on the local metal industry in the 19th century. It is located on the Sources de l'Aube hiking trail or is freely accessible from the road. Picnics available.
Fires are strictly forbidden around the huts.
