The Aube rises on Mont Armet, 375 metres above sea level, in the Auberive forest between Praslay and Aujeurres. The source of the Aube grows for several dozen kilometres before becoming the imposing river that flows into the Seine. It is the largest river in the département after the Marne. This spring is a benchmark for purity, since its name comes from the Latin "alba" meaning "white". The Aube flows through a number of charming villages, including Auberive, Bay-sur-Aube and Arbot.
A 4.5km discovery trail takes you through the site and its surroundings.
