An accessible walk between panoramic views and charming villages:
This 10 km loop (about 2h30 on foot), starting from the Place d'Orcevaux, is perfect for a family outing. The path first climbs up to the plateau, offering superb views of Lake Vingeanne. Then, through fields and small woods, you reach the peaceful village of Verseilles-le-Haut, which had 114 inhabitants in 1804 but now has fewer than 20, and is also known as Verseilles-au-Mont. Take a break in front of the pretty church and the statue of Notre-Dame de Toutes-Grâces, built in 1948 to protect the lake. The view from here is magnificent! The return journey takes in an area of orchards and former vineyards, skirting the hillsides and providing a glimpse of the mysterious Roche aux Saints. A picnic area and shady grassy paths make the route even more enjoyable. Easy and well signposted, this route alternates between nature, heritage and great landscapes, ideal for a quiet getaway on foot or mountain bike.
