The tour in the footsteps of Denis Diderot takes you back to the childhood and family of the famous philosopher, in the town where he was born in 1713. A philosopher and writer of international renown, Diderot left to pursue his studies in Paris when he was fifteen, but he would always remain attached to his family and his homeland. Along the way, you'll come across places he frequented for a long time, such as the Fontaine de la Grenouille, the cathedral and the former Jesuit college, as well as the 18th-century town itself. In the square that now bears his name, in front of his birthplace and childhood home, you can admire the statue by Bartholdi that pays tribute to the Father of the Encyclopaedia. Your steps will finally lead you to the Maison des Lumières, the only French museum dedicated to Diderot.
