Arc-en-Barrois is at the heart of an immense forest massif of over 15,000 ha and the National Forest Park. This short 35 km loop will take you out of the Aujon valley to discover the flora and fauna of these vast wooded areas.
You will then return to the wild and peaceful Aube valley, making a diversion to visit the former Longuay Abbey.
You will then make your way gently upstream along the river, leaving it at Arbot to cool off under the cover of the Arc forest. You return to the Aujon valley at Giey-sur-Aujon. You then descend to Arc-en-Barrois.
Along the way, don't forget to visit the Vauclair brewery for a refreshing tasting.
