In an unspoilt setting in the middle of the beautiful village of Poissons, come and discover the Château de Riaucourt, 6 km from Joinville.

The castle dates back to the 13th century, when it was a country residence for the Lords of Poissons. Today, you can admire the 17th-century wing, which has retained its military appearance, with the gatehouse tower and inner courtyard, and the 18th-century wing, built for pleasure and reflecting the spirit of Louis XIV, with its pediment depicting the Sun King.

You can stroll through the park and discover the large pond that was used as a fishpond, the centuries-old sequoia, the fountain and the old ice house. Very close to the château, the auditorium was used for the middle and lower courts of Poissons.

The ensemble has undergone very few changes and is listed as a Historic Monument.
