A varied loop between panoramas, heritage and deep forests:
Starting from Serqueux (wash-houses and old horse ford), this 14.5km walk (approx. 4 hours' walk) offers a fine balance between moderate effort and local discovery. The route first follows the GR7, crossing fields and valleys, then enters the Serqueux communal forest for a gradual climb to the Bombardes plateau. Along the way, you'll come across ancient milestones, an old ford and an astonishing airman's stele, bearing witness to an episode in the Second World War. An optional return walk takes you to the "Fantôme" viewpoint, with its breathtaking panorama over the Bassigny and, on a clear day, as far as the Alps. The return journey through the village of Aigremont, with its medieval traces and church, adds a touch of heritage. Its church, dedicated to Saint-Sébastien, boasts tombstones bearing the effigies of Pierre de Choiseul, Baron of Aigremont, Philibert de Choiseul, Lord of Aigremont, and his wife Antoinette Fouchyer. A great loop for walking or mountain biking, for walkers in search of nature, history and wide open spaces with no major technical difficulties.
