Cross erected in memory of the victims of the plague that struck the village of Serqueux twice, in 1587 and 1636. As is often the case, crosses of this type also serve to represent and glorify the Catholic Church and those in power. There is a lovely view of the village and surrounding countryside from "Les Sapins".
