Between natural heritage, forest and Gallo-Roman remains:
This 12 km loop (approximately 3 hours' walk) starting from the Tuffière site is a complete immersion in a unique natural environment. Accessible to regular walkers, it alternates between forest paths, stream banks, heritage sites and viewpoints over the Langres plateau. You'll discover the tuffière, a living natural staircase sculpted by water, a veritable geological laboratory that has been active for thousands of years. The route then takes you to the village of Faverolles, home to the archaeological workshop-museum and the impressive remains of a Gallo-Roman mausoleum dating from the 1st century. The return journey winds through forests, orchards and the Roman road. This signposted route (green/yellow) offers a good balance between moderate effort, a diversity of landscapes and a wealth of history. Younger visitors can also follow the playful Tufi the squirrel trail around the tufa marshes. It's a complete, lively and educational hike, to be enjoyed at any pace.
