La tufière d'Amorey - PR N° 95

A walk through unique countryside and deep forest:
Starting from the Maison du Pays in Auberive, this 11km trail takes you to discover an exceptional natural site: the Amorey tufa. The route first follows the GR7, then gradually climbs into the Montgérand forest. After passing through the Germainelle valley, you reach the Amorey farm and then enter the heart of the forest. The spectacle is well worth the effort: between calcified mosses, wooden footbridges and legendary springs, the tuffière reveals a unique, almost fairytale atmosphere. The return journey is more strenuous, with a fine climb through the Cellerons wood before reaching the heights of Montgérand, with its unobstructed views over Auberive. At the end of the loop, don't miss the charming Entre deux Eaux walk, the perfect way to round off this peaceful, informative and invigorating walk. A fine compromise between unusual nature and the pleasure of walking... for curious walkers in search of original landscapes and forest tranquillity.
