A nature challenge in the heart of the wilds of Haute-Marne:
17 km of sustained hiking between deep forests, steep valleys and forgotten legends... Hardy hikers beware: the Gorges de la Vingeanne trail, starting from Aujeurres, is a demanding and captivating 17km loop. It combines gradients, varied forest passages, narrow paths and more rolling sections to test your endurance and your ability to adapt to the terrain. You'll pass through remote areas such as the Bois du Beaugey, the secret coombs of Formont and the spectacular Vingeanne valley. The trail also takes you to two of the river's major sources, between limestone chaos and a carpet of fragrant wild garlic. For heritage lovers, the stops at the covered market in Aprey and the chapel of Saint-Georges provide a welcome cultural breath of fresh air. The route, dotted with natural and historical sights, is no less strenuous: 4h30 of brisk walking, with a few technical sections... An ideal loop to challenge yourself in the heart of nature.
