La Buxeraie - PR N°19

A nature walk to discover the undergrowth and landscapes of the Val du Vannon:
Departing from the Tornay town hall, this 10km trail (around 4 hours of gentle walking) is perfect for a family outing. The path climbs gently through a natural tunnel of fragrant boxwood, providing a soothing atmosphere from the moment you set foot. There are several viewpoints along the way, notably over the Val du Vannon and the surrounding villages of Genevrières and Savigny. The walk then passes through woods, forest paths and charming little valleys. Along the way, you'll come across typical plants such as pulmonaria and periwinkle, and in places you'll follow the bed of the Vannon stream. The route, signposted in yellow-green, follows old cow paths and even crosses some remarkable geological formations. A special feature of this trail is that you can walk up the bed of the Vannon stream, which is often dry because it is only used in the event of an underground overflow (Pertes du Vannon); ferns abound here. A varied hike, accessible with good shoes, ideal for nature lovers of all ages.
