Le bois Monsieur - PR N°31

A forest immersion at the gates of Juzennecourt:
This 10km trail starting from Juzennecourt offers a beautiful forest getaway between secret valleys, rich undergrowth and local heritage. The route starts gently along the route d'Andelot, with a view of the castle and its moat, before climbing to the chemin de la Belle Faysse. The forest soon takes over, with winding paths, wooded slopes and deep valleys such as Val Lara and the Sagodan slope punctuating the walk. The atmosphere is peaceful, ideal for wildlife watching: roe deer, birds, mushrooms... The Croix de Montrol, erected in memory of a 19th-century cavalryman, is a touching stop-off point. The return journey descends along the Bois Monsieur, with beautiful panoramic views over the Blaise valley. This waymarked trail takes around 3 hours to complete, and is suitable for regular walkers who enjoy a combination of moderate effort and natural immersion.
