A physical and historical challenge:
This 26km route from Joinville is aimed at experienced walkers looking for a long, varied route steeped in history. Signposted yellow-yellow, it passes through valleys, valleys, orchards and plateaux, with several forest sections and technical sections in the hills around Rupt, Lafolie, Blécourt and Fronville. The ascent of the Combe de Prousseval, the wooded crossings to the Val d'Osne and the descent to the Marne are all very steep sections. Along the way, walkers follow in the footsteps of Jean de Joinville, crusader and chronicler of Saint Louis, and discover landmarks such as the château "d'en haut" and the Gothic church at Blécourt. Allow around 6 hours' walking to complete this historic and challenging loop, ideal for testing your stamina while exploring a remarkable heritage.
