Château de Rupt

In 1757, Claude Simon de Bémont, Lord of Rupt, built a small château in the classical style.
Probably used for festivities and receptions, it was a single-storey building with a four-sided roof.
In the second half of the 19th century, the building's current eclectic architecture is the work of its blacksmiths.
They transformed the original small castle by raising it one storey and topping it with an exuberantly decorated slate roof.

Winner of the Stéphane Bern mission in partnership with the Fondation du Patrimoine in 2021, the forge master's house is currently being restored. Despite the work, the site is open to visitors by appointment.
