Corrupt - PR N°41

A demanding loop through valleys, plateaux and forest:
This 21km route from Illoud is designed for seasoned hikers looking for a complete challenge. The route, marked out in yellow, is full of technical sections: steep climbs, woodland crossings, steep descents and long stretches over plateaux. The route starts with a gentle climb up to the former Ermitage de Corrupt before heading into the deep forests of the Hauts du Rognon. After Saint-Thiébault, the ride intensifies with the climb to Bourmont and its Côna nature park. You then cross the Bois de la Belle Fontaine, before plunging down towards Gonaincourt and then climbing back onto the Charmois plateau. A 6-hour walk (or 2? hours on a very technical mountain bike), this loop offers endurance, variety and superb views of the Meuse and its valleys. It's the perfect way to test your stamina while exploring the hills of the southern Haut-Marnais region.
