Nature, relaxation and family games:
Set off on a lovely 5.5km loop (approx. 1hr 45mins) around Charmes lake, an easy circuit perfectly suited to families. You start from the beach car park, crossing the lake along a roadside path that runs alongside the lake's 3rd basin. Once on the other side, the path runs peacefully along the banks to Champigny Bay. You can then follow the dyke along a pleasant grassy path, before skirting the north shore along a very accessible footpath.
As an added bonus, there's a 3km round trip extension that takes you to the start of the 2nd pool, with the option of taking a break at the restaurant. For children, the free Id-Vizit application offers a fun trail, and there's a play area by the beach. The lake is renowned for its fishing: pike-perch, pike, carp and even catfish are a delight for specialists. It's also a great place for birdwatching, a real treat for curious youngsters. A breath of fresh air guaranteed!
