Walk in Brachay:
Leaving from Brachay town hall, this 8.5km trail follows in the footsteps of Philippe Lebon, inventor of gas lighting. Accessible to all (2 hours on foot), the route passes through meadows, rivers and picturesque villages such as Charmes-en-l'Angle and Charmes-la-Grande. You'll skirt the pretty valley of the Blaiseron before climbing to the heights of Mont de la Cadelle, which offers stunning panoramic views. Along the way, you'll see the church of Saint-Étienne, a restored former mill and two houses linked to Philippe Lebon, whose bust adorns the town hall. An easier variant takes you back through the peaceful Embarvau valley. Ideal for a nature outing punctuated by cultural and historical discoveries, this blue-and-yellow signposted route is a great way to relax with the family, surrounded by heritage and lush green countryside.
