The church of Charmes-en-l'Angle was the seat of a parish administered by the archdeacon of Reynel, and after the Concordat it became a branch of Charmes-la-Grande. The choir of Saint-Étienne church dates from the early 13th century, while the neoclassical nave must have been built in the late 18th or early 19th century.
