An easy walk through meadows, woodland and historical sites:
Starting from the car park at the Bourbonne-les-Bains swimming pool, this 6.5 km loop (around 1½ hours) is perfect for a family outing. Easily accessible and well signposted (blue and yellow), it winds through meadows, woods and quiet country lanes. Along the way, a lovely view over Lake Barrat and the village of Serqueux rewards your initial efforts, before a gentle descent towards the Apance valley. A 300-metre round trip takes you to the Borne du Zeppelin, which commemorates a unique historical event from the First World War: the capture of an intact German airship. The trail continues through the forest, follows a stream, crosses a beautiful clearing and returns via the ‘Chemin de Maître Albert’. This varied walk combines nature, history and tranquillity. Ideal for gently recharging your batteries whilst sharing a moment of discovery on foot, on horseback or by mountain bike.
