This trail takes in the Butte de Taloison, the magnificent views over the Aube valley, the village of Bay-sur-Aube and its admirable church of Saint-Hippolyte (12th, 13th, 14th and 16th centuries), a Gothic masterpiece that combines balanced volumes with Romanesque features.
The Butte de Taloison is listed in the département's inventory of natural sites as "one of the major natural sites of the Langres Plateau and the Haute-Marne département". The vegetation, typical of dry limestone grasslands, includes around thirty rare species as well as numerous orchids such as Ophrys Bourdon, which flower in May and June.
