The Chemins de Traverse project invites you to experience and live in the forests of the Parc national de Forêts, France's 11th and most recent national park.
You can bivouac in nomad tents, discover the secrets of the undergrowth, hire a donkey to accompany you on your discoveries, live in unusual huts, walk along forest streams to their source, learn wild basketry, learn to sketch nature with a professional for a weekend ... or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of the area, with family or friends, to relax and take time to live ...
Located in the south of the Haute-Marne department, on the Langres plateau, our village of Auberive and its Cistercian abbey are particularly well placed to offer you a beautiful place to recharge your batteries or a starting point for day walks or longer hikes.
Chemins de Traverse is an initiative of the Centre d'Initiation à la Nature d'Auberive, run by the Ligue de l'enseignement de Haute-Marne (www.ligue52.org).
