Situated above the village of Chalmessin, the hut overlooks the Vals des Tilles countryside. Ideal for spending a night in the heart of nature, discovering its beautiful natural surroundings and its inhabitants, it is also close to the Vals des Tilles hiking trail. Nestling between oak and hawthorn, the Greuille meurger hut has a duty to respect its environment. The materials used to build it all come from the local environment: posts made from black locust, oak frames, flooring, planking and tiles made from Douglas fir. The walls are made from a mixture of straw, earth and clay, set on a lattice of hazel sticks. They are rendered with a mixture of Tille sand and lime. The interior is insulated with untreated sheep's wool.
Picnic facilities available.
This is one of a group of 7 nature huts scattered around the Auberive forest and freely accessible.
Fires are strictly prohibited around the cabins.
