The Solidarilait Haute-Marne association helps and supports mothers in their desire to breastfeed their child. Through listening, advice and meetings, breastfeeding mothers and pregnant women can find advice and answers to their questions, and feel less isolated.
The association's two main activities are a telephone helpline (support and advice 7 days a week) and monthly meetings for breastfeeding mothers, held on the ground floor of the Chaumont Maternity Hospital.
The helplines are staffed by volunteers from the association, who are themselves mothers and have received training in listening within the Solidarilait national network of some fifteen local branches.
