This sculpture is a tribute to Charles Auer, founder of the steelwork company that contributed to the town's development. A perfect blend of the industrial and agricultural worlds, this majestic steel sculpture by artist Serge Landois offers a poetic representation of the village's history, while paying poignant tribute to the men and women who have built it over the years. Charles Auer's first anvil, on which he began his career as a blacksmith, dating from 1846, is the cornerstone of the exhibition, but have fun looking at all the other items that have been donated by local residents.
