The Griselin bridge was built at the same time as the Château d'Auberive and its grounds, just after the French Revolution. It replaced the old ford and footbridge that once led to the abbey barn known as Toroillon (no longer in existence), and is now used to serve the Montavoir forest road. Its name comes from the name of the mason/contractor who built it.
