The Foulon bridge was built when the D141 road was opened around 200 years ago. Prior to the opening of this road and the construction of the bridge, access from Longeau was via the Chemin du Clos, which runs alongside the Vingeanne. This road dates back to Gallo-Roman times... When the village was flooded in 1930, the bridge was widened because the Sub-Prefect, on his way to inspect the damage, left the road and fell with his car into the river.
