At no. 17 rue de l'abbaye, the following inscription can be seen on an engraved stone to the left of the first-floor dormer window: "A maître Gilles Gautherot ...". This reused stone most certainly comes from the house that this humble ploughman (born in 1652 and died in 1700) had built on the occasion of his marriage on 24 January 1679 to Gabrielle Bélier of the area.
