"France's only national park dedicated to lowland deciduous forests, the National Forest Park comprises a protected and regulated core zone and an area encompassing the municipalities that have signed up to the National Park Charter. Covering a total area of 218,000 hectares, 110 municipalities in the Côte-d'Or and Haute-Marne are involved in the same conservation, knowledge and sustainable development project. Let yourself be carried away by the water, rivers, springs, tufa marshes... and discover this vast territory that covers the forest massifs of Arc-en-Barrois-Châteauvillain, Auberive and Châtillon.
A haven for rare and protected species, these woodlands are fragile biological reservoirs and a veritable open-air laboratory for understanding the effects of climate change. A wide variety of heritages dot this richly talented area, offering an active economic and cultural life.
The National Forest Park is also a place to experience and share, offering a wide range of activities and events. A place of discovery, rejuvenation and wonder, the magnificent forests of the National Forest Park promise a wonderful encounter with nature.
