We look forward to welcoming you!
Our tourist office and its dynamic team welcome you all year round. You'll find a warm welcome and quality tourist advice.
Come and meet us to find out more about Chaumont, the surrounding area and the whole of the Haute-Marne department.
Come and discover Chaumont, the historic city par excellence of the Counts of Champagne. It's a medieval town that's a must-see for visitors and visitors alike: a jewel case of stone in the midst of nature, a town in the countryside where you'll find peace and quiet as you stroll through its parks and gardens.
The town boasts a rich and varied heritage, including the Viaduc, a 19th-century 3-storey ashlar railway bridge, a medieval keep, the Basilique St Jean-Baptiste, a jewel of Ile de France Gothic architecture dating from the 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th centuries, and houses with turrets: architectural features not to be missed in the Old Town, the Chapelle des Jésuites (Jesuit Chapel), which hosts numerous exhibitions and concerts, and its must-see museums: the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire and the Musée de la Crèche.
Since the early 90s, Chaumont has also been the city of posters and graphics, which is why you can also visit its famous Centre National des Arts Graphiques - Le Signe, where you can discover the world of graphic design and posters through a variety of exhibitions.
Guided tours, themed tours, aperitif tours with tastings of local produce organised all year round by prior arrangement, events and entertainment.
