For over 50 years, the volunteers at Nature Haute-Marne have been sharing their passion for nature with as many people as possible. By organising conferences, green walks and screenings, the organisation raises awareness among young and old of the importance of protecting the environment. On the association's website or Facebook page, you can consult the schedule of free walks organised by the association: les Balades Vertes.
Other activities include participation in various departmental and local committees, protection campaigns and contributions to public debate.
Founded in 1969, Nature Haute-Marne is a registered association for the protection of nature, and a tool for all those who want to take action to preserve our environment.
Taking action means :
- Supporting and advising those who want to take action in favour of nature and the environment
- Participating in various bodies dealing with environmental issues
- Protecting species' habitats
- Mobilise citizens and make their voices heard by public authorities
- If necessary, take legal action and bring to justice those who destroy nature.
- And it's also about sharing, exchanging, raising awareness... and thus playing a key role in building a harmonious relationship with Nature.
You don't need to be a specialist to help protect nature. However much time you have to spare, however much knowledge you have and however much you want, you can get involved by taking action with us:
- Contribute your voice and relay Nature Haute-Marne's position on sensitive issues (e.g. XXL methane plant, photovoltaics in natural environments, roadside trees, "Renard Grand Est" group, etc.).
- Help us out on stands
- Help us with communication campaigns
- Help protect birds of prey (Peregrine Falcons, Harriers, etc.): census, monitoring, etc.
- Participate in the activities of the Collectif pour une Cohabitation avec les Grands Préda-teurs en Haute-Marne (Collective for Coexistence with Large Predators in Haute-Marne): herd surveillance, protective fencing, etc.
- Help restore natural sites ("nature" workcamps)
- Coordinating or taking part in "naturalist" surveys
- Leading green walks
- Organise conferences or film debates
- Represent NHM on committees or at meetings
- Take legal action
- Become a director of the association ...etc...
