Created in 1874, the Bourbonne-les-Bains municipal museum was transferred to the outbuildings of the old medieval castle in 1910. Originally made up of discoveries made during archaeological digs in the town, the collection was supplemented by gifts from private individuals and purchases.
The history of the town is told through the objects and works preserved. One room presents the archaeological remains, in particular those of the ancient spa town.
The fine arts room introduces the artistic history of Bourbonne-les-Bains, where a number of artists of national interest made their appearance; ethnographic and natural "curiosities" complete the tour. A final room is devoted to temporary exhibitions.
Exceptionally open on certain Sundays.
