The quality of this house, dated 1544 according to the inscription above the first floor, is evidenced by the care taken in its construction and discreet decoration. Although built at the height of the Renaissance, the facade follows a typically medieval layout: the storeys are stacked to a narrow width, while the gable is cut into the sky (the upper part of most facades of this type has since been levelled). The first floor is used as a reception area, highlighted by large openings and bordered by a stringcourse and drip moulding.
Originally representing a coat of arms, the bas-relief above the first floor is set against the image of a small ancient building, a tempietto.
