This house of character, located in the heart of the village, is the home of the Lacordaire family. This was the home of RP Henri Lacordaire (1802-1861), a preacher at Notre-Dame de Paris. The Lacordaires, a family of doctors, owned it for decades. One of them, Jean-Baptiste, is said to have grown pineapples here under glass, which he gave to King Louis XV around 1744.

Jean-Baptiste-Henri Lacordaire, in religion Father Henri-Dominique Lacordaire, born on 12 May 1802 in Recey-sur-Ource (Côte-d'Or) and died on 21 November 1861 in Sorèze (Tarn), was a French religious, preacher, journalist and politician. Restorer of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans) in France, he is considered today to be one of the precursors of liberal Catholicism.
His family came from Bussières, doctors and surgeons.
He had three brothers: the entomologist Théodore Lacordaire, the mining engineer from Saint-Étienne Adrien-Léon Lacordaire, director of the Manufacture des Gobelins from 1850 to 1860, and Télèphe Lacordaire, squadron leader of the 6th Hussard in the French army.
