This house, with three cats or parts, is not old since the lintel of the barn door, known as a "basket-handle", is topped by a keystone where we can still read: Domino 1862, as a sign of the foundation stone and protection of the house, placed here under the sign of Christ (like the previous house with its niche decorated with a tree of life). |The facade, reassembled at this date, incorporates two enigmatic elements, unusual for a simple residential facade: Firstly, a cast iron sign from the early 20th century, high up in the attic, indicating that the house is on the "chemin vicinal de grande communication n°3 de Rimaucourt à Damblain", the forerunner of the RD33, which runs through the village today. Secondly, high above the main doorway, replacing the traditional protective niche, a mitred bishop's head can be seen emerging from the wall.
