The Philippard-style town hall dates from 1837. It is a combined town hall and school. It replaced the former community centre. It is a large, three-storey building comprising three sections. On either side are a ‘school’ and the teacher’s accommodation, with the girls on one side and the boys on the other. The playground was situated at the front.
In the centre is the town hall, which originally comprised a waiting room and a meeting room. Renovation work carried out in 1995 created more space. The attics were completely unoccupied. In the western section, the local post office is on the ground floor, and a classroom on the first floor was created in 2003. In the basement, a bread oven and cellars were allocated to each dwelling.
