Le Signe, inaugurated in 2016, is positioned as a platform for dialogue between the artistic field of graphic design and the general public.
Its programme of exhibitions, workshops, training courses and residencies contributes to the recognition, development and influence of graphic design in France and around the world.

An art centre dedicated to graphic design in an exceptional architectural setting, Le Signe is the fruit of a unique initiative in France, supported by the town of Chaumont, the Grand Est Region and the Ministry of Culture, in the form of a public interest grouping.

Chaumont, with its remarkable collection of old posters bequeathed to it in 1906, has established itself as a major centre for graphic design since the creation in 1990 of a festival and an international competition that has led to the creation of a collection of contemporary posters.

Now a biennial event run by Le Signe, this not-to-be-missed event has been bringing together artists and graphic designers from all over the world for almost 30 years.
