Le petit lavoir is an artisan soap factory located in the heart of the National Forest Park, in a small village called Praslay.
To make my soaps, I use an ancestral method that respects the environment and your body: cold saponification. This process involves working the oils at a low temperature so as not to denature them and retain their benefits for the skin. To make this happen, I mix my oils with washing soda, and that's when the magic happens! Glycerine is formed naturally by the saponification reaction, and provides considerable support for skin hydration.
My soaps are formulated in such a way that some of the oils are not saponified. This is known as surgras, and it's this very surgras that will have an impact on your skin.
The ingredients I use are selected according to their origin and nature. I work as much as possible with ingredients from organic farming. All my recipes are guaranteed free from palm oil. Each recipe has been validated by a cosmetics professional, and my entire range can be used by the whole family.
