Situated in the Impasse des Vergers, on the left, the wash-house was built in 1858 - 1859. Note the fine dressed stonework on the facade around the symmetrically arranged semi-circular pedestrian doors, with a wash-house inside and a drinking trough outside. It was built to the plans of the contractor-architect Baillet in Musseau, with the right-hand reconstruction of the neighbouring bridge over the Tille and a fountain in the village that no longer exists. The tender for the whole project was published in September 1858, and was awarded to the contractor Bénigne Seuret from Santenoge for 2722.48 Francs. Outside, to the right of this washhouse, you will notice one of the last war memorials in the Haute-Marne, created in 2014 by the "Vals des Tilles Patrimoine" association.
