The charming wash-house at Vicq is located on an old communal pasture, close to the Petite Amance river. 16 posts, set on blocks of sandstone, support a roof of flake tiles, giving the building the appearance of a superb rectangular hall. This type of construction, known as a "washhouse-hall", allowed light into the washhouse while protecting the washerwomen from the elements. Four staircases give access to a large washing basin and a rinsing basin that hold abundant, clear water. A flywheel pump was installed upstream of the basins to facilitate the water supply. It bears the brand name of the manufacturer, Morin-Gacon in Dijon.
