This recently restored wash-house is located in the centre of the village, below a calvary, a row of drinking troughs and on the side of the church. The large semi-circular openings provide plenty of sunlight, and the large wash basin is fed by the overflow from a fountain. The rectangular building has a gable roof with flat fish-scale tiles on a wooden frame. It was built around 1860-70 in response to the desire of the Plubel family, the ironmasters, to provide the village's 500 inhabitants with a new way of life.
