The fountain-washhouse consists of a hall formed by a low stone wall supported by 8 wooden pillars, and boasts a magnificent roof structure. A few steps lead up to the vast washing basin. The fountain, vaulted with stone arches, is known to have already existed in 1754; it also feeds a trough, which was used to soak wicker, and its rustic paving. The inlet to the spring, above the washhouse, is protected by an iron gate. This was installed after the death of a little girl who drowned in it in the 19th century.
As its condition suggests, the washhouse was restored in the 2000s.
