No. 23 was the site of the school, now the town hall and communal accommodation. In 1841, the estimate drawn up by the architect Gaulet fils in Langres came to 4443.91 francs, on land that had been chosen opposite the church to be cleared by the residents. The contractor, Nicolas Baillet de Musseau, carried out the contract with a 244 franc discount until acceptance on 1 June 1842. The central entrance opened onto a vestibule that led to the classroom on the left, with a staircase at the back. The right-hand side, with a second private entrance, was the teacher's lodgings with the oven room under a basement at the rear. An attic crowned the whole.
