The Maison de la Vannerie (museum) is the technical, cultural and historical reference centre for the profession. Presentation of four short documentaries on wickerwork, wicker culture, research, partnerships between wickerworkers and designers, folklore and testimonials from craftspeople. The Maison de la Vannerie showcases collections of wickerwork and rattan items from the École de Vannerie, as well as showcasing local know-how with innovative creations in terms of shape and colour.
Individuals and groups welcome by prior arrangement.
To complete your discovery, you can also take part in a weaving workshop led by a basket maker or, if you prefer theory, a demonstration by a craftsman (basket makers' addresses on request from the Fayl-Billot Tourist Office).
