Yes, great, but before we get started, I'd like to tell you a few things about Vignory.
The first mention of Vignory dates back to Charlemagne in 815.
Construction of the timber-framed church began in 1032. It was built by Gui 1er, the first lord of Vignory, who also built the castle (11th century).
Gautier I then built the village fortifications in 1204, which were unfortunately destroyed in the 18th century.
I didn't become Lord of Vignory until the 15th century, thanks to an inheritance. Vignory castle was already in a very poor state of repair and, even then, it was the inhabitants of the town who came to help with the work.
In the 17th century, the town had 1,000 inhabitants and prospered thanks to trade.
Today, the village retains many traces of its history, which you can discover during your visit.
