Hello my young friend. My name is Camille Flammarion and I was born here in Montigny-le-Roi. I was fascinated by astronomy from an early age and after studying graphic design in Langres, I moved to Paris where I wrote a book on the subject. I wanted this book to be accessible to everyone. I wanted to disseminate my knowledge and my ideas for everyone and above all for the general public to understand something. That's how I became the father of popular astronomy.
