HORSCH

HORSCH

Ferme de la Lucine is located in Châteauvillain (Haute-Marne), on the borders of several major French cereal-growing regions, including Champagne-Ardenne, Burgundy and nearby Lorraine. The farm has existed for several centuries and has expanded over the years. In 1965, it was bought by Manfred Dorsemagen from Neuss, near Düsseldorf. In 1983, Michael Horsch sold his first TCS seed drill in France and met Cornelia, his future wife. Since then, the 320 hectares of clay-limestone and silty-clay soil have been cultivated every year without ploughing, and have served as a field of research for the development of a number of techniques developed by the Horsch company in Germany.

In May 2000, Sarl HORSCH France was officially established here, and over the last 10 years, the site has been gradually extended to accommodate the growing number of employees in the French industry and the significant increase in sales, with the result that spare parts stocks are encroaching more and more on the traditional farm buildings. Sales, marketing, after-sales service and the supply of spare parts are centralised at the Lucine farm, for the benefit of all the French, Belgian and Luxembourg markets. Today, the company employs 40 people on permanent contracts and CQP.

Every two years, in odd-numbered years, Sarl Horsch France organises its "Pro Days" in September, where farmers are invited to discover new products, to get together to exchange ideas and to meet people from the world of business and agriculture, in a friendly and professional atmosphere.
