Situated in the north-east corner of the town, at the foot of the Tour Piquante, it is accessible by a small path below the allée des Marronniers. When Claude Forgeot rebuilt the building in 1773, he created a monument that is reminiscent, albeit proportionately, of the layout of the 'grotto' of the Frog fountain.
The monument consists of a small rectangular building topped by a low vault and covered with impressive ashlars forming a gable roof. Water flows from a bronze tap into a small basin topped by a niche decorated with a cartouche; a statue of Saint-Antoine (now gone) completed the decoration. The water then flows into a double-basin washhouse originally located in a building covered by a roof, similar to the layout of the President's fountain. The basin furthest from the spring was used to wash the linen, while the nearest basin, with its more rapidly replenished water, was used to rinse it.
