Sophie, a qualified "Accompagnatrice de Tourisme Equestre", offers to take you for a ride on her horses, which have been used to trail riding from an early age. For 1, 2 or 3 hours, come and discover the surrounding countryside!
If you feel like it, we can also take you on a picnic day or several days' touring or star trekking to discover this little corner of southern Haute-Marne.
I can also guide you on walks or rides with your own horses, or help you build your own itineraries in this area.
We can accommodate you and your horse in a guest room or dormitory. We also offer a table d'hôtes (watch out for our former pastry chef!).
For horses, we offer boarding by the month or by the night, in pasture or stable.
If you would like to improve your riding skills or simply discover one of the following areas, Sophie offers courses of 1 hour, ½ day, 1 day, 1.5 days or 2 days with your horses or ours:
- Building rider confidence
- Building the horse's confidence and getting used to outdoor situations
- Emotional functioning of the horse and herd
- Orientation, how to read a map and use a compass
- Preparing for a ride: condition and mindset of horses, packing, mapping out a route, bivouacs or bookings, routine repairs to equipment, farriery repairs.
- Maintain your horse's feet and know how to fit a shoe.
Also available, sessions to learn how to repair your equipment or create simple leather creations such as nets, fly repellents, chaps, panniers, etc.
If you're interested in plants, Sophie, a self-taught gardener for 15 years, will be delighted to take you on a tour of forgotten plants, "weeds" or forest plants, and suggest simple, safe uses and recipes!
And if you'd rather take advantage of these services at home or at your stable, I can also come to you!
