Couzon was a simple hamlet that depended on Prauthoy for spiritual matters. Its church, dating from the late 19th century, was built in 1855 at the inhabitants' expense, as the inscription engraved on the tympanum of the entrance portal indicates. The elongated building features a single nave with two panelled bays, a tower-porch crowned by a polygonal slate-roofed spire and a single-bay choir.
